St Mary at Stoke, St Peter, Stoke Park, and St Francis, Chantry, are three churches forming one Church of England parish in the Diocese of St Edmundsbury & Ipswich. Through high standards of care, service and advocacy we seek to share the love of Christ with the community around us, and to recognise Jesus in our midst.
Each church has a different character and style, a different history and tradition, but together we make up the South West Ipswich Team Ministry. We learn from each other and support each other across a diverse population with varied theology and spirituality, and we meet together to worship & socialise together at various points throughout the year.
We serve the communities of Stoke, Stoke Park, Maidenhall, Thorington Park, Pinewood, Chantry and all areas in-between. We are involved with schools, community organisations and nursing homes. We provide space in our buildings for support groups and community groups, and we host pre-school education and play groups, uniformed organisations and pensioner groups.
We believe that God loves all that he has made, and that the humanity of all people should be cherished and valued. Our united purpose is to worship God and to serve the people of this parish in faith and love and hope, following the commandment of Jesus to:
‘…love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbour as yourself.’
